Ascension Parish Burial Ground, All Souls Lane, Cambridge
This soothing leafy graveyard is home to various Cambridge luminaries, including philosophers Ludwig Wittgenstein and G.E. Moore. Wittgenstein's grave is covered in flowers. Moore's is covered in birdshit. That's posterity for you.

Cambridge City Cemetery
A large municipal cemetery - straight concrete paths and lack of trees make it seem rather desolate and industrial. Big T must've been one helluva guy...

Mill Road Cemetery
Yet another Cambridge spot - much used as a shortcut by shoppers and students, so quite a bustling atmosphere. More University bigwigs, clustered into bunches according to college affiliation (think you ended up here if you weren't famous enough to get into Ascension Parish!).

Histon Rd Cemetery, Cambridge
Another cemetery in the north of town - quite sleepy and unassuming. Visited in early May in the full glory of evening sunshine, with the sounds and smells of the year's first barbeques wafting across the railings.

St. Andrew's Parish Churchyard, Chesterton
Dilapidated and quiet (until the bellringing started up). Sprawls between a great big electronics factory and a skate park. But which of these spawned the Satanist dauber?
